This article explains why your logo doesn’t appear in the Excel export and how to add it manually if needed.
Why This Happens
Due to a technical limitation with Excel, the logo cannot be automatically embedded in the header of the exported file. The logo exports correctly to PDF — the Excel export is the working file format, so this limitation only affects the .xlsx file.
How To Add Your Logo Manually
You can manually add your logo to the header of every sheet at once by selecting all tabs before inserting the image.
- Open your exported Excel file.
- Right-click any sheet tab at the bottom of the file and select Select All Sheets. All tabs will highlight to show they are grouped.
- Go to Insert > Header & Footer.
- Insert your logo image into the header.
- The logo will be added to every page at once.
- Click any single tab to ungroup the sheets when done.
Good to Know
The PDF export displays the logo correctly in the header on every page. If you are sharing the tech pack with clients, the PDF is the recommended format.
