This article explains how to add a blank page to your tech pack that can be used for reference images, fitting photos, or any other artwork.
How It Works
Tech Pack Wizard supports images two ways. You can drop images right onto your Detail Sketches, next to your sketch, and annotate with the Callout or Spec Tools.
Or add a blank page just for images. These pages work similarly to the style cover page — you can add Primary Sketches to them, which in this case can be images or artwork rather than garment sketches.
Common uses include:
- Reference images
- Fitting photos
- Mood or fabric inspiration
How to Add a Blank Page
- Create a new Primary Sketch and add your images to this artboard. If you want to directly annotate the image, this will need to be done manually since TPW tools only work on Detail Sketches.
- Navigate to the Callouts page in the plugin.
- Click Create Blank Page. Your new page will show up at the end of your tech pack tabs.
- On the blank page, choose your Primary Sketch from the dropdown to add your image or artwork.
- Double click the title to rename the tech pack page to reflect the content (e.g. “Fitting Images” or “Reference Photos”).
Important: TPW Tools Are Not Available on These Pages
The TPW tools (callout tool, spec tool, zoom tool) are not available on Primary Sketch pages. If you need to add callouts or text to these pages, you will need to use native Illustrator tools to create your own:
- Callout lines
- Text boxes
- Annotations
